Description

A new user cannot be successfully created if a required field in the user creation form was initially left empty and later filled in during a subsequent submission. After correcting the missing information, the system incorrectly returns a "User already exists" error, preventing completion of the user creation process.

Preconditions:

New user creation is allowed

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to the user form.
  2. Fill in the user form fields like Username, First Name, Last Name, Age, Address, Phone etc.
  3. Leave one field of the user form empty ex. address.
  4. Click on the 'save' button.
  5. Observe that a 'missing some required information' message is displayed.
  6. Enter valid data for the field that was left empty in step 3.
  7. Click on the 'save' button again.
  8. Observe that a 'User already exists' message is displayed.

Expected results

A user should be created successfully after correcting the missing field.

Actual results

The user is not created and a duplicate user error message is displayed.

Notes

This issue suggests that a user record may have been partially or prematurely created during the first (invalid) submission.
